1. Definitions

In these Terms & Conditions:

• "Agreement" means these Terms & Conditions as accepted by the User.
• "We / Us / Our" means Curventa, operating from 137 Telok Ayer Street, #06-04, Singapore 068602.
• "User" or "you" means any person who accesses our website or participates in a Curventa programme.
• "Programme" means any reading workshop, evening series, or reading programme offered by Curventa.
• "Materials" means workbooks, reference cards, glossaries, scenario cards, and other printed or digital reading materials provided as part of a Programme.
• "Service" means our website at curventa.pro and the educational programmes we deliver.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. By completing enrolment and payment for a Programme, you enter into a binding agreement with us on these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or enrol in our programmes.

Users must be 18 years of age or older to enrol in a Programme. Our programmes are designed for adults aged 40 and above.

3. Description of Service

Curventa provides educational reading programmes for adults. These programmes are designed to develop familiarity with vocabulary and concepts in areas including household financial planning, pre-retirement decision frameworks, household budget conversations, and estate planning in Singapore.

All programmes are educational in nature. Curventa does not provide financial advice, legal advice, estate planning services, or product recommendations. Nothing communicated by Curventa or its facilitators constitutes professional advice of any kind. Participants who wish to act on topics covered in a programme should engage appropriately qualified professionals.

4. Enrolment and Payment

Enrolment process

Enrolment is confirmed on receipt of full payment. Places are allocated on a first-paid basis. A cohort may be cancelled if minimum participant numbers are not reached, in which case full refunds are issued.

Fees

Programme fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are inclusive of all materials. Fees are subject to change for future cohorts; the fee applicable to an enrolment is the one confirmed at the time of payment.

Refunds and cancellations

• Cancellation more than 14 days before the programme start date: full refund issued within 7 business days.
• Cancellation 7 to 14 days before the start date: 50% refund issued.
• Cancellation fewer than 7 days before the start date: no refund, unless Curventa cancels the cohort.
• If Curventa cancels a cohort for any reason: full refund issued within 7 business days.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

5. User Responsibilities

• Participants agree to engage respectfully with facilitators and other participants during sessions.
• Participants agree not to record sessions by any means without prior written consent from Curventa.
• Participants agree not to reproduce or distribute Materials provided as part of a Programme for commercial purposes.
• Participants understand that personal disclosures made by other participants during sessions are to be treated as confidential.

6. Intellectual Property

All reading materials, workbooks, reference cards, and other content produced by Curventa remain the intellectual property of Curventa. A limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence is granted to enrolled participants to use Materials for personal reference purposes only.

No portion of Curventa's materials may be reproduced, distributed, or adapted for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

7. Disclaimers

Curventa's programmes and materials are provided for educational purposes only. We make no representation that the reading content is comprehensive, current, or applicable to your specific personal circumstances. Laws, regulations, and financial frameworks change; participants should verify current information with qualified professionals before making decisions.

Curventa is not a financial adviser, legal adviser, or regulated entity under Singapore's Financial Advisers Act or Securities and Futures Act. No content provided by Curventa should be interpreted as financial or legal advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Curventa's aggregate liability to any participant for any claim arising from participation in a programme or use of our website shall not exceed the fee paid for the relevant programme.

We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from any act or omission on our part, including loss of income, loss of opportunity, or decisions made by participants on the basis of programme content.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Curventa against any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms & Conditions or your conduct during a programme session.

10. Termination

Curventa reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme cohort if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or in breach of these terms. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

Participants may withdraw from a programme at any time subject to the refund policy set out in Section 4.

11. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, we encourage participants to contact us directly at [email protected] in the first instance. We will endeavour to resolve disputes informally within 14 business days of receiving written notice.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

12. General Provisions

• Entire agreement: These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties.
• Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute waiver of that provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement without our written consent.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. Changes are effective from the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or participation in programmes following a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
